Overview

The purpose of the role is to contribute to Dynavax’s Market Access, and HEOR strategy and to develop and implement associated tactics for Dynavax brands. This requires research, analysis and the generation of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) insights to inform patient access propositions that jointly create value for external stakeholders (patients, health care providers, payers) and Dynavax, and drive best practices in disease control and prevention in disease-areas associated with Dynavax molecules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop economic dossiers and other reimbursement-supportive materials
  • Develop and contribute to written summaries, customized white papers, and PowerPoint MAP-related materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop subject matter expertise on a range of key healthcare issues, including HEOR/ICER /QALY content
  • Attend and draft summaries on internal and external policy-related meetings
  • Work in cross-functional teams to contribute to the development and delivery of projects
  • Lead/provide project management for key MAP deliverables, including preparation of meeting materials and background information, and Ad Boards payer and policy stakeholders
  • Present and communicate MAP strategies and outputs to Senior Leadership and Field teams

Qualifications

  • Background in population health, health outcomes, public health, government affairs
  • Background in vaccines
  • Background in healthcare policy consulting organization
    • Eagerness to learn complex issues related to the healthcare delivery system
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills, including the ability to perform research in varied formats
    • Experience with driving insights from claims-level data
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and work under tight timelines
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • A positive, professional, and solution-oriented attitude who is a collaborative team-player
    • High level of initiative and commitment to excellence
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Limited travel (~10%)
  • Degree in any of the following preferred: Health Economics / Pharmacy / Public Policy/ Public Health/ Epidemiology or equivalent
  • Desired experience: Prior Health Economics or HTA experience, at a biotech/pharma or medical device company, or at a health care consultancy within the HEOR or Market Access practice.
  • 5 years minimum work experience preferred
